The show is based on the comic of the same name recounting the many horrors featuring supernatural beings in an anthology. All the incidents are narrated by Crypt Keeper (so much of crypt from his part). The show aired from 1986 to 1996 and featured some amazing stars including Tom Hanks, Christopher Reeve, Michael J. Fox, etc.

The show has a whopping score of 8/10 on IMDb.

Here we’ve curated a list of episodes we found the most entertaining and horrifying. Hope you like them!

Dig the Cat… He’s real gone (#1)

This particular episode was directed by Richard Donner and features Joe Pantoliano, best known for his role in the Matrix. This episode follows a man who has an unusual ability to come back from his death.

He uses this to his advantage and mints a lot of money by doing tricks in the circus. Overtime, greed gets the better of him and dies at the end.

Dead Right (#2)

This episode’s protagonist of a greedy woman is played by the stunning Demi Moore, who goes out of her way to marry a messy and gross man for his riches. But at the end, does she actually enjoy the riches she’s about to inherit? Well, there’s a twist but let’s all agree that looking into the future is not always the best decision.

Death of some Salesmen (#3)

This episode was produced by Gilbert Alder, who also produced Superman Returns. This story follows a conman who goes around the town as a salesman and tricks people until one day he knocks at the Barrack’s house. The Barrack family including the mother, father and daughter is played by the one and only Tim Curry! This makes it both hilarious and unsettling.

What’s Cookin’ (#4)

This episode stars some amazing actors including Christopher Reeve, the superman himself! Judd Nelson, known for his role in the Breakfast Club and Bess Armstrong.

The story follows Judd trying to set up a successful restaurant. Everything seems smooth until Chris discovers the secret ingredient.

The Reluctant Vampire (#5)

This episode consists of one of the best slapstick comedies ever! Starring Malcolm McDowell as a good vampire who acts a bit like Robin Hood as he goes around killing bad people for blood once the blood bank he was working in runs out of blood. This may be the least dark episode of all!

Even as a little girl, I was fascinated by words. The idea of stringing words together to form meaningful sentences which could alter the emotions of other human beings excited me. At first I wrote fiction. It gave me a chance to live the different lives I’ve always wanted to. The way my friends reacted when they read my story gave me the greatest of joys. As I grew older, I realised that there are thousands of stories of people around me that deserved to be told. Then I started incorporating their stories to my fictional stories. Over the time, I leaned more towards article writing. I have always felt that writing is my super power. A power I could wield to bring joy and comfort to me and the people I care about.
