The Shazam Family would now be known worldwide with the help of Shazam! 2’s release. At the time of the release of the first movie, it was not a good start for the DC movie. This is because it proved out to be the lowest grossing Worlds of DC movie at the box office during that time. However, that position has now been grabbed by Birds of Prey. Though, the love received from the audience and other critics spoke otherwise. Due to this tremendous praise and love, the show was revived for yet another sequel.
The second season was scheduled to arrive in April 2022. However, we didn’t see that happening dur to the production delays caused in the process owing to the COVID-19 pandemic situation right now all across the globe. The sequel still has some of those hands which made the first move a likable one. We will be witnessing Peter Safran as the producer of the show, David F Sandberg as the director of the show, and finally, we will be having Henry Gayden as the screenwriter.
In addition to that, there has been news that Zachary Levi has been loving the announcement of a new sequel and the reason behind it is a very cute one. According to Zachary Levi, he stated that, “I think one of the coolest things about the movie Shazam! is that it brought people joy. It legitimately brought people joy. If that’s all I ever do in this world, I will be so grateful and so stroked.”
The sequel has been now pushed back to November 4, 2022, whereas it would be appearing in the UK and US cinemas on the 2nd of June, 2023.
