The Crown series has been excessively popular on the streaming giant which is based on the rule of Queen Elizabeth who is known to be one of the longest-dominant rulers ever. The series has proved to be a revolution on Netflix and has bagged several awards for its great contribution. With a Golden Globe and an Emmy in hand, the series is all set to shoot its upcoming season (Season 5) and here’s everything you need to know about The Crown Season 5.

We witnessed Claire Foy as Queen Elizabeth, Matt Smith as Prince Philip, and Vanessa Kirby as Princess Margaret in the first and second seasons. But there has been some news around the cast in the next sequel. According to certain reports, fans are bound to witness a new cast in Season 5. 

According to what’s out as of now over the internet, we have these details for you:

Queen Elizabeth II would be played by Imelda Staunton, Elizabeth Debicki would be playing the role of Diana, Princess of Wales, Lesley Manville would be playing the role of Princess Margaret, whereas the role of Prince Philip would be played by Jonathan Pryce.

Rumors also say that the role of Prince Charles would be played by Dominic West. However, there’s no guarantee as of now. We need to wait for it until we witness it on screen! The crew and the cast are now all ready and will be soon heading to shoot this summer in the UK. It will all begin at Elstree Studios in London’s north.

The shoot was scheduled long before than the actual one but the COVID-19 wave disrupted schedules and in turn, significantly delayed the production processes. Now that they have begun shooting, all safety protocols will be adhered to in order to ensure the safety of the crew and cast.
