After the success of MCU’s first show of phase 4, Wanda vision, MCU has released their second show too, “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier”, which is based on the aftermath of Steve Rogers giving away his shield to his best friend, Sam Wilson AKA the Falcon.
About the movie:
The show starts with the sufferings of Sam and the passed down the shield, he was deciding to donate the shield to the US government as he couldn’t carry the legacy of his best friend and thought himself to be not worthy of the shield.
He now thinks of himself not as an avenger anymore but as a para-rescue soldier only, this can be the reason behind his sufferings and mourning.
After Sam Is back into the world after 5 years of disintegration by the wipe-out, the first thing done by Sam was fighting Thanos and then attend the funeral of Stark.
His present personal life is a mess which makes him drown in more misery, his sister has been left a widow who is trying to keep her children safe and wants to raise them correctly, Sam in help takes her to the bank where he applies for a loan, the manager instantly recognizes Sam but still disapproves for the loan as he is black.
Bucky Barnes:
On the other hand, Bucky Barnes is still having nightmares about the massacres he has done as the winter soldier. He is shown to be in therapy with a war veteran who acts as a guidance and consultant for him.
His life is shown very much traumatic too like he has been shown to befriend an old Japanese man who is not aware of his son being killed by bucky himself. His stress disorders and mental health isn’t shown as any normal problem but major trauma.
What is incredible about the show, in any event from the initial feeling, is that it needs to give these two characters the due that they merited. Anthony Mackie’s Sam has consistently been treated as a piece of Steve Roger’s force however had not been given sufficient opportunity or a circular segment to prosper all alone.
