Sebastian Stan, who plays Bucky in The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, has called for the Bucky and Sarah cut to be released.
After learning that there was more footage of Daniel Brühl’s character Zemo painfully dancing in a club in Madripoor, fans of the show demanded the release of the Zemo cut.
And now the that appeal has resulted in the valuable gift of an hour-long compilation of Zemo’s dances, fans are clamouring for more footage of Bucky and Sarah flirting.
It’s all thanks to director Kari Skogland, who confirmed the existence of such footage to TV Guide.
“I’ll give it that there was a little more flirting,” she admitted, refuelling the Bucky and Sarah boats.
“The dynamic between Adepero and Sebastian, or Bucky and Sarah, was one of my favourites. I really like that dynamic, and it was a lot of fun because, as you can imagine, Sam was not up for it… We had a little more from that scene that we didn’t use, but it was still a lot of fun.”
Stan, on the other hand, was the one who began the #ReleaseTheBuckySarahCut hashtag by posting a screenshot of the article to his Instagram storey.
Adepero Oduye, who plays Sarah Wilson, the sister of Anthony Mackie’s new Captain America Sam Wilson, took to Twitter to share a screenshot of Stan’s novel, writing: “Sebastian, what’s the word? limbo “..
When Bucky pays a visit to Sam in his family’s hometown of Delacroix, Louisiana, near the end of the episode, he and Sarah share a few meaningful smiles and glances, which Sam notices and interrupts.
Marvel does not want to enrage the current Captain America by exposing more of their flirting.
Disney+ is the only place where you can watch The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.
