Fantastic Beasts 3, Release, Plot, Cast, And Controversies!

Fantastic Beast 2 although did well but wasn’t exactly a hit and didn’t receive a lot of great reviews along with the recent controversies involving Rowling and Johnny Depp may have an impact on Fantastic Beasts 3 and the future of Fantastic Beasts series let’s find out how.  Directed by David Yates this fantasy film spin-off and a prequel to one of the most famous movie series of all time Harry Potter.

It is co-written by J.K Rowling and is based on her book Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The 1st part of the movie was released on 10th November 2016 and was a box-office hit and earned positive reviews as well. The 2nd part of the franchise Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald was released on 16 November 2018 and although it wasn’t a huge success it was good enough for the producers to make the 3rd one.  So when can we see Fantastic Beasts 3? Let’s find out.

Release Date

The movie was expected to follow the previous trend and was expected to release in November 2020 although no official announcement was made this was what everyone was thinking. However, the shooting had to be stopped because of COVID-19 and the release was delayed. Recently it was announced that the shooting will resume in spring 2020 and will be in theaters on November 12, 2021.

Fantastic Beasts 3, Release, Plot, Cast, And Controversies!

We don’t know what exactly the plot is however there are hints that the movie may be set in Rio de Janeiro although it isn’t confirmed as of yet. The film is 3rd of the trilogy so it will probably help clear a lot of mysteries and unanswered questions from the previous parts. Also, it looks like it will be more focused on Jude Law’s young Albus Dumbledore and will have more Hogwarts scenes.

We saw some deaths in the second part so although those characters may feature in the next movie it will probably in the form of flashbacks and visions. We can say for sure that Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, Katherine Waterston as Porpentina “Tina” Goldstein, Dan Fogler as Jacob Kowalski , Jude Law as young Albus Dumbledore will return for the 3rd part along with some other actors as well.

J.K Rowling, Johnny Depp Controversies?

Every publicity is good publicity isn’t always applicable since the recent controversies may harm Fantastic Beasts 3. J.K Rowling has been seen saying some questionable things lately and it may cause a lot of people to be mad at her also with Johnny Depp’s alleged domestic violence and the disappointing 2nd part may affect the performance of Fantastic Beasts 3. Time will tell whether Fantastic Beasts 3 will help the franchise revive or will be the last we see of Fantastic Beasts.
