The latest installation in the Fast & Furious Saga, F9 premiered in the theatres in the United States on 25th June, 2021. The film is said to have mixed reviews but the name of the franchise is popular enough to make this new release climb up the ladder and make it the third-highest grossing movie of 2021, raking in $500 million at the worldwide box office, which is quite impressive given that the COVID-19 pandemic is still lingering all around the globe.

With this new film the fans also got responses for their calls about the most discussed crossover between Fast & Furious and Jurassic World. Chris ‘Ludacris’ Bridges, who is one of the earliest stars in the Fast Saga, has been playing the role of Tej Parker in the Fast & Furious franchise since the 2003 release 2 Fast 2 Furious. Ludacris appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday (July 6) and was asked by the host Wanda Sykes about his opinion on the Furious/Jurassic crossover, to which he bluntly said that this was the most ridiculous idea he has ever heard off. “I’m just going to be honest with you. Look, they surprised me in this franchise with a lot of things about how we continue to top ourselves. But nowhere in my right mind do I see Jurassic World and Fast & Furious coming together. Maybe they gotta convince me but I just don’t see it. That’s ludicrous. Pun intended, for sure.” Well, his statement makes sense.

On the other hand, another Fast & Furious star Tyrese Gibson recommended a Fast & Furious/Transformers crossover, this idea looks quite original and grounded as both the franchise are car-centric but, it is also true that both the franchise are from completely different studios which is Universal and Paramount respectively, which make this crossover very unlikely to be possible.

Upon hearing Ludacris’s response, Sykes reminded the rapper that in the most recent film of the franchise, his character, alongside Tyrese Gibson’s Roman, set out to disable a satellite in outer space by strapping rocket engines onto a heavily modified Pontiac Fiero and crashing into it. So, dinosaurs might not be quite as impossible as Ludacris thinks.

Ludacris continued by saying, “I’m trying to say, all these fast cars and dinosaurs together, it doesn’t make sense to me,” he eventually admitted by saying, “But yeah, you’re right. Both of those are ludicrous. You’re 100 per cent correct.”

Contrary to Ludacris statement the Jurassic World star Chris Pratt when upon asking about the same said, “Hey man, if that’s what the audience wants, I’m in.

“That sounds good. Because, you know, because if there’s one thing a T-Rex can’t F with, it’s family. Family and fast cars.”
