Letterkenny, the comedy show which first started as a web series and is now premiered on the Movie Network and Hulu, was recently renewed for the ninth season. And fans were excited and too eager to see the next season as soon as possible. But it turns out fans have to wait a lot longer.

Due to the complications caused due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the filming has been moved to the spring of 2021.

The crew stated that Letterkenny does not exactly have the budget to pay for the extra COVID testing and insurance which made them opt for postponing.

While you’re waiting for the next season to premiere you can watch the old trailer-

So, we can only expect the show by the end of 2021 or 2022. But on the bright side, the executive producer Mark Montefiore has mentioned that the show will have a tenth season as well!

Though many have speculated that it might just be a typo (yikes!) given that it sounds so good to be true, it still gave the fans a silver lining. As well all know, Letterkenny doesn’t have much of a mainstream following hence such small news will certainly elate its close-knit fandom.

Even as a little girl, I was fascinated by words. The idea of stringing words together to form meaningful sentences which could alter the emotions of other human beings excited me. At first I wrote fiction. It gave me a chance to live the different lives I’ve always wanted to. The way my friends reacted when they read my story gave me the greatest of joys. As I grew older, I realised that there are thousands of stories of people around me that deserved to be told. Then I started incorporating their stories to my fictional stories. Over the time, I leaned more towards article writing. I have always felt that writing is my super power. A power I could wield to bring joy and comfort to me and the people I care about.
