With Fortnite’s last season that ended on August 27, Epic Games have confirmed that the new season will be launched ‘with larger than normal patch sizes’ to be downloaded. Epic Games also confirmed a 14:00 update with possibly new map changes, new themes, and new battle skins.
Release Time And Live Event
There have been no updates regarding the actual release time, but it is estimated to be 3:00 PDT/6:00 EDT/11:00 BST by the gaming blogs worldwide.
Unlike the last time, there will be no live event like ‘The Device,’ but Fortnite is planning numerous micro-events all over the world, confirmed Fortnite Intel.
New Theme And Leaks
The new season is bringing a new ‘Victory Umbrella,’ including new battle skins of Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Groot, Mystique, and Storm. Yes, the Season 4 theme is superhero based! – Particularly Marvel Universe hero themed. Fortnite had previously manifested these ‘Collab skins’ by introducing Deadpool and Aquaman battle skins in the previous seasons. Therefore the new theme was seen coming by the Fortnite fans, but it was indeed a sweet surprise. Donald Mustard, the Creative Director of Fortnite, tweeted that “the story is about to kick into overdrive” and hinted that “everything is connected”.
It has been leaked that a new wolverine battle skin is also on the way to unlock and a possible arrival of a Thor POI.
Devices And Platforms
With the ongoing legal battle between Epic Games and the IT giants Google and Apple, unfortunately, the iOS users won’t download the new update. This is because the Apple App Store has blocked the ability of the game to upload itself and have removed it from the App Store. Therefore the iOS users won’t get the new Marvel skins or the fresh challenges. The new season would be available for Androids (64 Bit Androids with a minimum of 4 GB RAM), PC, Mac, Playstations (4, 4 Pro, 4 Slim), Xbox (one, one S, S-All Digital Edition, one X), Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite.
