It was set to come up with another season but the long-term injury of the lead actor, David Carradine, ended the hopes for fans. It is heard that the movie is finally coming up with a new story and it will feature a female lead.

For now, Kung Fu is set to be produced by Berlanti Productions. However, it was originally under Fox in 2017 and in 2019 it was acquired by the CW. We all know Berlanti for his positive track of remaking the failed Fox shows.
As per the updates, the series will be launched on 7th April at 8 p.m. following Riverdale’s time slot.

The series is going to feature a female lead and it is played by a Chinese- American woman Nicky Chen. The movie is also star-studded as there are some famous names in the list of cast members. These names include Tzi Ma, Kheng Hua Tan, Shannon Dang, Gavin Stenhouse, Jon Prasida, and Eddie Liu. The producers and makers have decided to come up with a refreshing story and characters and that is the reason for the change in the whole cast.

The movie is said to be a gender-swapped version of the 1972’s drama. We will see how the lead character faces the crisis in her life which leads to her way to an isolated monastery in China. She also left her college education because of the crisis. She is trained as a martial art specialist and uses her skills to protect her community.
