GLOW the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling has been making people laugh all the while highlighting issues such as workplace inequality and racism. The show is one of the best that Netflix and with Season 3 ending on a cliffhanger will we see a Season 4? Let’s find out!
The show is a comedy-drama and is created by Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch. The show begins with Ruth Wilder, a struggling actress who auditions for the professional wrestling promotion called Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW). The show is a fictionalization of the real GLOW that was popular in the 1980s and it follows the personal and professional lives of these fictional characters. The show 1st aired in Netflix on June 23, 2017, and has released 3 seasons already. The show was renewed for the 4th season on September 20, 2019, but unfortunately, it seems like this will be the last and final season of the show.
Expected Release Date
Season 3 of the show was released on August 9, 2019, which is a bit delayed compared to the last 2 seasons that were both released in June end, and season 4 was supposed to follow season 3 for an August release in 2020. However, it seems that season 4 will take some time to arrive at our screens. The shooting for the show began on February 18 however it was stopped midway due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. We will have to wait for the shooting to start again and the production to finish before we know a fixed release date.
Who Will Be In Cast?
We can be sure that we will be seeing Alison Brie as Ruth “Zoya the Destroya” Wilder and Betty Gilpin as Debbie “Liberty Belle” Eagan again this season as the show has focused on their friendship and lives a lot. We will also be seeing other main cast returning like Marc Maron as Sam Sylvia, Britt Baron as Justine “Scab” Biagi, Chris Lowell as Sebastian “Bash” Howard and Kate Nash as Rhonda “Britannica” Richardson.
Makers Take On The Last Season
In the previous seasons of the show, the makers never knew whether this will be the end of the show or it will continue so they tried to half end the show every season however that doesn’t allow them to get the series to its full potential of to end it properly. However, this time as they know it will be the last season we will hopefully see them go all out and make this season the best season. It seemed like the makers had more stories to tell however they will have to fit it all in this season. It will be interesting to see where the ladies end up and the decisions they make.
