There’s no doubt in the fact that Godzilla vs. Kong has managed to make it big at the Box Office all over the globe. Even though the pair was fighting against one another, together they were certainly successful in crushing their box office foes. The movie had a strong opening weekend and the expectations are ever-rising.

The MonsterVerse crossover premiered on March 31, both on HBO Max as well as in theaters. However, there was a different pattern observed when it comes to the audiences’ response. The movie was made available to them at the comfort of their homes but still a few people found it extremely satiating to watch the battle on the big screen.

Just in its first five days, the movie was successful in making a whopping $48.5 million at the box office and thus marked the highest grossing theatrical release since the pandemic hit us. The previous title for the post was Wonder Woman 1984 – which managed to get great responses from fans as well.

However, there does seem to be a loophole here as Godzilla vs. Kong was featured in 3,064 North American theaters. On the other hand, Wonder Woman 1984 was housed in just 2,151 theaters at the time due to the COVID-19 restrictions which were quite prevalent during those days. It did manage to take back $16.7 M during its opening though, according to Deadline.
