Gone Season 2: Release Date, Cast, Plot And Every Latest Update Here!

Based on Chelsea Cain’s novel in 2014, One Kick, this crime drama has seen multiple releases in various countries. The series first aired in Australia on November 13, 2017; then in France on January 23, 2018, followed by in Germany the day after.

On March 19, 2018, Gone aired in the United Kingdom and lastly in early 2019 in the United States. But the looming question still remains: Will Gone be greenlit for Season 2?

Release:

The police procedural drama is created by Matt Lopez and co-executive produced along with Melissa R. Byer, Treena Hancock, Kim Moses, Barry O’Brien, and Sara Colleton.

In a joint production venture by The Colleton Company, The Neptune Way, VOX, TF1, and NBCUniversal International Studios the decision to renew Gone will not be based solely on its performance in the States but also in the different countries.

The first season of Gone garnered a rating of 0.04 with average demography of viewers between the age of 18-49 amounting to 333,000.

While shows have been revived before, given the current situation with the pandemic and some great performing shows such as The Society, Stumptown and I’m Sorry being canceled, things aren’t looking great for Gone

Additionally, the first season of the crime drama premiered in 2017, and ever since there hasn’t been any miraculous surge in ratings or viewers. Therefore, it is likely that Gone could get the chop rather than a renewal.

However, it is also important to note that it’s been three years since its premiere and the network hasn’t decided to cancel it either. Maybe, there still is a ray of hope to hold on to for fans, after all.

Cast:

In the lead playing Kit “Kick” Lannigan, a self-defense instructor and a victim of child abduction until found by FBI Agents is Leven Rambin.

Playing the FBI Agent, Frank Novak who rescues Kick from her abductors is Chris Noth. He also acts as a father figure to Kick and is later revealed that he had a brief affair with Kick’s mother soon after she was rescued.

Tech genius, Kick’s roommate, and one of the former abduction victims, James Finley is played by Andy Mientus. Tracie Thomas portrays Maya Kennedy, an FBI agent on Novak’s task force.

Plot:

Gone centers around Kick Lannigan who is abducted and raised by her abductors for five years until she is rescued by FBI Agent Frank Novak who ever since becomes a pressing and a fatherly figure in Kick’s life.

When Frank is told to form a task force to bust a network of child-traffickers, he recruits Kick to get her insight into child abductors and abductees and help him solve the abduction cases.
