Grand Army is a Netflix drama series following the story of five students of the Grand Army, a public high school. The series has a diverse cast and unlike the typical young adult shows, this one actually addresses the real issues faced by the students and not just typical “boy issues”.

The show premiered on 16 October 2020 and has received quite a positive response from the audience. It has a score of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes and 6.3/10 on IMDb.

Netflix has not announced any information about the renewal of the show yet and the first season ended with a few cliffhangers. Here we have made a list of plots the next season should develop on.

Will Jayson’s protests work?

We saw Owen being thrown out of the school for a harmless prank he played. This led to him missing the opportunity to play at the Lincoln Centre. When Jayson was offered the role, he took it. But he definitely did not think that it was the right thing to do, so he went on to the stage and held his hands up in protest. But we never saw if it worked and Owen’s dreams came true.

Will Joey get justice?

Campus rapes are one of the most underreported crimes mainly due to the tender age of the victims involved. We saw Joey get assaulted by her own “friends” but despite her gathering the courage to go report it to the police, her accusations were dismissed due to lack of evidence. This is not the kind of end that is acceptable. So we want this to be addressed in the next season too.

Other cliffhangers-

Though the first two mentioned were the most frustrating endings, the other characters’ endings weren’t where we expected either. Though Dominique finally convinced her mother to not force her into getting married for money, she confesses about her feelings for John. We saw Sid come out as gay and we understood why Leila was so cunning but we are desperate to see where life would take them too!

We hope you agree with us and sign the petition for the next season of the Grand Army!
