This evening (March 30), the Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer returned for another round of celebrity bakes, with four more stars competing to follow in the footsteps of recent Star Bakers Reece Shearsmith, James McAvoy, and Alexandra Burke.

TV host and former Strictly Come Dancing champion Stacey Dooley, Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall, comedian Katherine Ryan, and musician and internet influencer KSI were among the celebrities who braved the Bake Off tent this week.

Jade was dubbed this week’s Star Baker after three difficult rounds of cake, pie, and biscuit baking, which included the production of an amazing 3D reconstruction of a Little Mix concert.

Jade’s win, however, did not appear to be written in the stars from the start, as she made a blunder during the Signature Challenge.

The celebrities were given the task of making fondant fancies based on their favourite cocktail flavours, with Jade choosing to make colourful porn-star martini fancies.

Judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith gave her fancies their stamp of approval, and Jade, who had already made her feelings for Paul known, joked about offering her hand for a Hollywood Handshake.

Unfortunately for Jade, Paul wasn’t quite ready for a handshake yet, so he just smiled and walked away.

Jade, on the other hand, was unfazed, casually telling host Matt Lucas that she knew Paul wouldn’t give her a handshake anyway. Thankfully, Matt was able to fulfil Jade’s wish for a handshake, and she declared that a handshake from Matt was exactly what she had been looking for all along.

Unfortunately for Jade, only KSI received a Hollywood Handshake tonight for his outstanding performance in the Showstopper Challenge. However, she got a lot of encouragement from viewers for her valiant efforts to gain Paul’s attention.

Next week, the final episode of The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer will air, with new Doctor Who star John Bishop, TV presenter Anneka Rice, former Girls Aloud singer Nadine Coyle, and wheelchair basketball player-turned-presenter Ade Adepitan entering the tent to compete for the title of Star Baker.

The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up To Cancer will air again on Channel 4 next Tuesday (April 6) at 8 p.m. In the United Kingdom, Channel 4 broadcasts The Great British Bake Off. It’s known as The Great British Baking Show in the United States, and it’s available on Netflix.
