The Sixth main installment of the Halo series: halo Infinite, launched in 2001 developed by 343 industries and published by Xbox Game studios.
At first, Halo was supposed to be a trilogy that followed the story of an interstellar war between the alien race of covenant and the earthen. The campaign storyline is said to be inspired by Iain M. Banks‘ Culture and Larry Niven‘s Ringworld concept.
The games sold over 65 million copies worldwide and the franchise became the highest-grossing media franchise of all time. Due to its overwhelming success, two more additions Halo 4 and Halo 5: Guardians were added.
Halo infinite’s cinematic trailer- “Discover Hope” (you can watch it here-) was released last year on E3 2019 and was well received by the fans. The single-player mode of the game is well appreciated. Many found it quite nostalgic with today’s gaming world infiltrated with multiplayer games.
The coronavirus pandemic situation played a major role in the cancellation of E3 2020. This is the first time an E3 has been canceled since its first launch in 1995. Due to such inconveniences, Halo Infinite will be launched next year.
A few months back an anonymous leak of the game surfaced. Though we cannot be 100% sure if it is legit, tough scrutiny by the gamers has confirmed that the leaks are most likely true.
The leaks suggest that Halo Infinite may be an open-world game. Though it would be a great change for the series, it is not a surprising one as fans have been speculating this since 2018.
The restoration of gun attachments, just like the old times, has also been hinted along with side-quests and random encounters in the full open world.
Though these leaks seem very tempting, we think it would be best for us to not get our hopes too high. At the end of the day, they are still leaking.
