The Venture Bros is an animated show following the adventures of Dr. Rusty Venture, who considers himself a hero when he is actually not, and his bodyguard, who is the actual hero. The show first started in 2003 and went on to have seven seasons.
The show was canceled on September 5, 2020, and the show’s creator Jackson Publick made the announcement on his Twitter account. You can find the tweet here-
Unfortunately, it’s true: #VentureBros has been canceled. We got the highly disappointing news a few months ago, while we were writing what would have been season 8. We thank you, our amazing fans, for 17 years of your kind (and patient) attention. And, as always, We Love You.

But recently it was announced on Adult Swim’s Twitter account that we may be expecting more content from the Venture Bros universe, though it may not be a series! Adult Swim wrote on their official Twitter that they “also want[s] more Venture Bros. and [has] been working with Jackson and Doc to find another way to continue The Venture Bros. story.”
Following that announcement, Andy Forssell, the chief of HBO Max tweeted, “The Venture Bros fans are passionate but incredibly civil. I’ve received tons of emails, all of which are short very well-written notes, oozing with politeness. Class fans. Nothing imminent, but know that we’re working on it.
