As the 2020 elections are near, every channel is getting political. Recently, HBO Max released the trailer of The West Wing, and fans are happy to see their favorite cast back together in their characters.
The executive producer and director Thomas Schlamme, as well as creator Aaron Sorkin along with the cast to perform a special theatrical stage presentation.
The 2020 elections are very near, so the West Wing special will try to tell the audience about the importance of voting.
They also aim to raise awareness of a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization co-chaired by Obama known as When We All Vote. The main aim of this organization is to increase the participation of voters in elections, which are held every year in America.
The video got filmed at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. In the first look, Aaron Sorkin’s series which will feature a stage presentation of the episode Hartsfield’s Landing from season 3. Fans can expect their favorite stars to create an episode uniquely in their reunion. Check out the official clip below.
The cast from the series will mostly include Dulé Hill (Charlie Young), Rob Lowe (Sam Seaborn), Richard Schiff (Toby Ziegler), Janel Moloney (Donna Moss), Allison Janney (C.J. Cregg), Bradley Whitford (Josh Lyman), as well as Martin Sheen (President Jed Bartlet).
Apart from that, viewers will see Sterling K. Brown playing the role of Leo McGarry. John Spencer, who played the character died in 2005, so Brown will be taking over this role. Furthermore, during the act breaks Lin-Manuel Miranda, Former President Bill Clinton, as well as former First Lady Michelle Obama, will be giving commentary.
