Zack Snyder’s Justice League was released on the 18th of March of this year. The four-hour-long movie gained a lot of appreciation and success because all the characters and superheroes are seen from Snyder’s view. It has showered fans with an extended version of the action sequence where Batman, Mera, The Flash, Cyborg, Deathstroke, and the Joker team up to save the world.
This time, transformations are made in the look and theme of the Joker which got almost every eye on it. This transformation is a completely new interpretation of the Joker as there are no more tattoos, long hair, metal teeth grills, and flamboyant suits. This new version of Joker was not easy. Also, the story of Jared Leto’s performance as Joker has a really complex side which included rumors, fandom, and mysteries.
The clown prince of crime!
Leto’s appeared as Joker for the first time in the Suicide Squad. Although Leto was not the very first choice for the character, rather it was Ryan Gosling. But later Leto got the role. Earlier, Leto was seen to play the role of Doctor Strange, but Marvel wanted a bigger name to show-case the lesser-known character to the fans. So eventually Leto inclined towards the Warner Bros production for the iconic role.
The Joker design!!
When Suicide Squad was in its process, director David Ayer was leaking images and news from the early days of set in 2015. The most fascinating reveal for the fans was a picture of a pair of scissors meant for chopping off Leto’s long hair. When the original photos came out, Leto was displayed with short green hair, a pale look, and Joker’s wild grin. Joker’s peculiar features are so noticeable and, of course, his tattoos which majorly included massive grins, skull, and “HAHAHA” on his arm and “DAMAGED” on his forehead.
The Solo Joker Project!!
Back in 2018, it was announced that there was going to be a separate dedicated film for the Joker featuring Leto as the lead. There were rumors that there would be different storylines for DCEU’s main movies and other movies depicting a specific character will be different, which will allow makers to put uniqueness in the characters in their own way.

In Snyder’s Cut, a completely fresh new look is given to the Joker. Now he has pain in his laugh, and the gangster vibe is gone.
