On Wednesday, November 24th, 2021, Netflix announced the release date for Bruised. In total, Bruised has a running time of about 129 minutes.

Before Halle Berry was appointed director, Nick Cassavetes was said to be in the running, with Blake Lively cast as the lead. However, it wasn’t long before Halle Berry took over as director of Bruised and replaced Lively as the star.
Primary filming began in New Jersey, beginning in November 2019. During filming, Berry suffered a minor injury, which caused a short delay in the schedule. In November 2020, production resumed and was completed on December 20th, 2019.
