Home and Away fans will see Mackenzie Booth face an awkward situation next week after she moves in with the Parata family. Mackenzie (Emily Weir) starts living with her boyfriend Ari after receiving the bad news that she is being kicked out her flat.
With nowhere else available in the immediate future, Mackenzie agrees to come and stay with the Paratas until she can make alternative arrangements. Ari (Rob Kipa-Williams) is delighted that Mackenzie will be living under his roof, as their relationship is going from strength to strength.
Tane (Ethan Browne) is less pleased over the idea, knowing that it will be difficult to be around the girl he has such strong feelings for. Ari and Tane’s nephew Nikau (Kawakawa Fox-Reo) is also unimpressed by the change in their living arrangements.
Once Mackenzie has moved in, Ari tries to make her feel welcome by running her a relaxing bath, complete with candles. Mackenzie is delighted, until Tane accidently walks in without knocking.
Tane is mortified by his mistake, but when he apologies, Mackenzie tries to get him to open up about how he’s really feeling. Tane declines, not wanting to discuss how much he likes her.
Mackenzie can tell that Tane has feelings for her, but is frustrated by his reluctance to acknowledge it. However, Tane later takes a more honest approach and gives Mackenzie an ultimatum he wants them to start working different shifts at Salt from now on.
Tane wants to avoid temptation by staying away from Mackenzie, and points out that they’ll hardly ever be home at the same time if they work opposite shifts.
