How Helstrom Ties Into the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Helstrom is a Hulu Superhero original series that first premiered on 16 October 2020. The show follows the life of Daimon and Ana Helstrom, the children of a mysterious and powerful serial killer; the siblings have a complicated dynamic as they track down the terrorizing worst of humanity. You can watch the trailer of the show here-

This is a marvel show so naturally, it has made all of us wonder if it is connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as soon as we saw the trailer. So is the show a part of MCU?

Well, the answer is yes and no. We do see a shot of Roxxon gas station in the first episode before the camera starts focusing on an unassuming trucker getting killed. Every Marvel fan would know how notorious of a company Roxxon is and we have seen it partner with HYDRA and Frost Giants.

Though the series itself is quite dark and it would work if Roxxon had a part in all the villainous activities going on with the series, the mention of Roxxon ends in the first episode itself. Moreover, the series doesn’t address the “Blip” nor does it talk about Iron Man or Captain America. This has led us to believe that this show may not be a part of MCU after all.

One may wonder if this will join MCU in the future. The chances of that happening is thin as well. Because this show doesn’t have Marvel’s trademark sarcasm and humor. This show is more like Netflix’s The Punisher and Daredevil.

We hope you found the news interesting.
