Could Kang The Conqueror be the next big bad villain in town?

Thanos concluded the epitome of villainous characters in Phase 3. Naturally, it took a decade for him to unleash his evil and rain down hell on the Avengers but as MCU heads towards Phase 4, here is why Kang The Conquerer could be the new villain in town. And mind you, this supervillain precedes his predecessors’ mass killings to multiverses across millennias.

Who is Kang The Conquerer?

Going by his real name, Nathaniel Richards, Kang is a superstrong, genius time traveller who has crossed multiple universes leaving destruction in his wake. Owing to his multiverse conquests, he has various identities such as Immortus, Iron Lad, the Scarlet Centurion, and Pharaoh Rama-Tut.

Reports have surfaced that Lovecraft Country‘s Jonathan Majors has been cast as Kang in Ant-Man 3. If Tony Stark’s word is anything to go by, “When you mess with time, it tends to mess back“, one can look at Kang The Conquerer’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Since it took multiple post-credit teases for Thanos to finally take over in Avengers: Infinity War, here is how MCU can introduce Kang The Conquerer in MCU:

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness:

The title alone gives away why it would be the most fruitful appearance for Kang. Since the door to multiple realities have opened up in Avengers: Endgame, going by the title, it is a matter of when for the Sorcerer Supreme to run into Kang.

Loki:

Of what is known about the series, the show will certainly take place in an alternate reality, courtesy of the Tesseract being stolen by Loki in Avengers: Endgame; and the introduction of Time Variance Authority. Owing to Kang’s time-hopping nature, he is bound to land upon TVA’s radar and if not appear, maybe sow seeds to his later appearance.

WandaVision:

To reunite with her lost love, Vision, we know that Wanda will go to any lengths. While the details are unclear, it is known that her actions will lead to Doctor Strange in the Multiverse. This easily makes Wanda a powerful and desirable ally to have. Since the comics have also hinted at Kang being interested in Scarlet Witch, WandaVision could also lay the groundwork for Kang’s debut.

Eternals:

As Eternals are an immortal alien race living on Earth for thousands of years, the film has potential to show more about Kang, considering he is a time traveller and one of his identities is, Pharaoh Ramu-Tut.

The Falcon And The Winter Soldier:

Since the web series will shine a light on how Falcon and Bucky deal with Cap’s departure and his decision to spend the rest of his life with Peggy (the ‘who’ remains uncertain), the series can also shine light at fellow time traveller. Therefore, not directly, but as a parallel story, Kang can be introduced, even if it is as a cameo.
