The Haunting of Bly Manor is a supernatural horror movie series that is based on the story of Henry James’s novella The Turn of the Screw. The first series was The Haunting of Hill House and for the second series, almost all the cast took part in it.
But both the 1sst part Hill House and 2nd part Bly Manor are not connected. The series was launched on Netflix on 9th October 2020.
Though the creator Mike Flanagan took the name of Henry James still his series is a bit different from the original story. We can say it is loosely connected. Both stories are about governance who was hired to take care of two orphan children. They stayed in a very solitary house in the countryside where they feel the presence of supernatural things.
According to the Novel by Henry James, a ghost shares his story to a gentleman and his friends at a party. He explained a woman who he loved a lot. The woman works as governance for two children and does her best to protect the children from any unusual things.
According to her story, it is presumed that there may not be any ghost it is just her mental instability. She is the one who is trying to corrupt the children.
According to the show on Netflix, the ghost are real. The caretaker’s name is Dani Clayton who had her secrets. Two ghosts were haunting Bly Manor. The children are also aware of the presence of ghosts and they just don’t want to discuss it.
Governance tries her best to protect the children. There are ultimate twists and turns in the series which can make you mesmerized with its story.
