WILL HELEN RETURN?
Tony Todd, who is going to play Candyman in the remake, has recently confirmed that the character of Helen will return for the remake. He made the announcement on the ‘Rocking With Jam Man’ show. The character of Helen is very famous among the Candyman fans. She is a Chicago graduate student who is haunted by Candyman, the ghost present in the Cabrini Green Housing Projects.
Candyman haunts her to death and after dying Helen herself becomes a new kind of Candyman. She goes on to kill her husband in movie who had cheated on her. After the Candyman movie, the character of Helen was never shown again in the direct-to-video sequels of the movie named Farewell to the Flesh and Day of the Dead. It will be refreshing to watch her return to the remake as for horror fans she was adorable.
The remake is being directed by Nia DaCosta and Jordan Peele is co-writing and solo producing the remake. For a pleasant change, the remake will directly hit the theaters in the summers of 2021 on 27th August. Horror lovers, get ready to be spooked!
