The Mandalorian spin-off series Ahsoka is taking shape, with Pacific Rim: Uprising star Ivanna Sakhno taking the role.
Rosario Dawson has already been cast as the eponymous figure, returning her role from The Mandalorian season 2. At the same time, Hayden Christensen is set to reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker from the Star Wars prequels.
According to Deadline, Sakhno has agreed to play an unnamed, freshly created character in the Disney+ series.
Her inclusion comes after it was announced that The Society’s Natasha Liu Bordizzo would play the live-action version of Star Wars Rebels standout character Sabrine.
Alongside Ahsoka, Star Wars has a variety of Disney+ TV projects in the works, along With the Book of Boba Fett features the titular bounty hunter and is set to premiere next month.
In the previous month, the programme has launched a series of teasers, most notably a teaser that claims fans may uncover the answer to a long-standing Star Wars question.
We also just got our first glimpse at the highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series, with concept art indicating that the Jedi Master will face off against Darth Vader again.
Meanwhile, star Carl Weathers announced last month that third season filming had started on The Mandalorian, posting on Twitter: “Season 3 of The Mandalorian begins tomorrow for Yours Truly. Greef Karga will return to Disney+. #BePeace.”
Seasons 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian are now available on Disney+. In addition, on Disney+, you can watch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker and the whole Skywalker Saga.
