Some fans of The One Show have described Jennifer Aniston’s latest interview as ‘awkward’. To promote the new season of The Morning Show, the actress appeared on the BBC show yesterday night (September 8) with Reese Witherspoon.

Zuminda was asked about visiting behind the scenes of a genuine show for inspiration for her new Apple TV+ series by her co-host Zoe Ball. As Aniston put it, “It’s just the gradual burn that it is”. “You folks live in a very vampire-like state of mind and existence. It’s the middle of the night, and everyone springs to life.”

“In the hallways, people were slowly waking up when I arrived at five o’clock in the morning. Then, all of a sudden, a train begins to move, and it becomes increasingly chaotic. Somehow, you have no idea how the programme will be put together… It’s a total mess.”

Aniston “has pretty well sold it to me that she’s not a morning person,” Jenas told Witherspoon. The actress asked Jenas, “Did I sell that to you?” and Jenas replied, saying a little bit.

‘Do you think I got the best deal?’ she asked.

“So what about you, Reese?” asked Jenas, a former English soccer star.

It was easy for Witherspoon to continue talking despite her discomfort, telling the host: “I’m not a morning person. Jen and I often discuss this. Morning people are me, and night people are her.”

“So, it works out, but I do the early morning sequences and by 4 p.m. I’m burnt, and Jen begins around 11 or 12 and then she can do the nighttime scenes since I can’t seem to think right past 4 p.m.”

Some viewers took to Twitter to comment on the incident, with one person writing: “Is it just me, or did Jennifer Aniston’s reaction to the male presenter’s morning person joke make anyone else uncomfortable? Awkward.”

“She’s not a fan of his,” said another. There’s a new teaser for The Morning Show, which is set to return later this month. One Show is a BBC One television show. There is a new season of The Morning Show on Apple TV+ starting on September 17.
