Jennifer Lawrence and her art dealer husband Cooke Maroney are expecting their first child. “Hunger Games” star’s representative confirmed the news to CNN on Thursday.
Lawrence and Maroney were married at Rhode Island’s Belcourt of Newport in October 2019. Reports indicate that 150 guests attended the wedding, including Amy Schumer, Emma Stone, Adele and Kris Jenner.
Michael Maroney is the director of a New York City museum of fine arts known as Gladstone 64. In February 2019, Lawrence was photographed “rocking a massive diamond’ on her finger”, and CNN confirmed the couple’s engagement.
Lawrence revealed her affection for Maroney in a podcast interview with Catt Sadler in June 2019. However, she said it was clear that she wasn’t in a position where she felt ready to get married. “Just met Cooke and fell in love with him and wanted to marry him”, she added.
“The Hunger Games” star, who earned an estimated $52 million and $46 million before taxes, was crowned the world’s highest-paid actress in 2015 and 2016. “Silver Linings Playbook,” in which she co-starred with Bradley Cooper, won her an Oscar for her performance.
Another three films that she has starred in that have been nominated for the award include Joy, American Hustle, and Winter’s Bone. However, as Katniss Everdeen in the hugely successful “Hunger Games” movie franchise, she is arguably best recognised.
