The star of Wonder Woman 1984, Kristen Wiig has confirmed that she is married. On Feb 10, Wednesday, the actress appeared on The Howard Stren Show where she finally revealed that she and her partner Avi Rothman secretly tied their knot where she referred to her better half as her husband during the interview.
They began dating back in 2016 and had previously confirmed their engagement in August 2019. Last year, they had their twin babies through the process of surrogacy. Wiig was married once before to actor Hayes Hargrove, whom she wed in 2005 and divorced in 2009.
Last year, she made into the world of DC where she got to play the role of Cheetah who got defeated by Wonder Woman. By the end of the sequel, a final scene teased that Barbara is still on the prowl.
And, with Wonder Woman 3 officially in motion, director Patty Jenkins recently addressed the future of Wiig’s character following that tantalising teaser.
She said that, “I have my reasons for making it ambiguous. And I think it’s not clear, her point of view on everything that just happened. I love that we wrap up Max Lord’s [played by Pedro Pascal] point of view and that you see the culmination of that storyline. I think it’s so important. But the truth is there may or may not be more to come, and reasons for that.”
