Letterkenny, the recipient of esteemed awards such as the Bell media award, Canadian Screen Award, is a comedy series following the lives of the inhabitants of the small rural town of Letterkenny.
The show started on YouTube as web series under the name Letterkenny Problems and later started airing in The Comedy Network. It was premiered on 7 February 2016.
Ever since 8 eight seasons have been released each with six episodes that have performed well so far and scored 8.7/10 on IMDb and 92% average audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Considering the same, we assume the team took the decision of renewing the season and come back with more entertainment for fans.
Furthermore, we won’t skip sharing that the renewal update is indeed confirmed as the show was renewed in June 2020 for the next season.
When will the next season be released?
The release of the show has been delayed as some technical difficulties occurred due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. And so the final release date is not yet pronounced officially.
However, we can expect it to be released by the beginning of the next year.
The cast of Letterkenny Season 9:
The screenwriter and producer of the show Jared Keeso, based on whose rural experience the show is based, will also be starring the role of Wayne.
Other acclaimed actors such as Michelle Mylett, K. Trevor Wilson, Nathan Dales, Dylan Playfair, Tyler Johnston have also been cast.
The plot of season 9
The show’s primary focus is on the life of the 5000 people in Letterkenny with the special focus on the siblings Wayne and Katy.
The last season ended with Dierk betraying Katy. So this season will develop on that most probably.
