Lily Collins, the star of Emily in Paris, married Charlie McDowell last week. The couple, who had been engaged for about a year, celebrated with their closest friends and family at Colorado’s Dunton Hot Springs, providing some stunning wedding images.
After revealing the news in the first caption, Collins posted a second one on Instagram yesterday (September 7) “Now I get to be your wife, which is something I’ve always wanted to accomplish. On September 4, 2021, we’ll be together for the rest of our lives. @charliemcdowell, I love you beyond words…”
She also wrote about the photo she took close to a waterfall: “In the beginning, it was only a fairytale, but now it’s my lifelong reality. I’ll never be able to convey how strange this past weekend was adequately…”
Collins’ friends and followers on social media were ecstatic for her and McDowell, as one would expect them to be given the news. “Will never be over this shot and you two,” wrote Emily in Paris co-star Ashley Park in a congratulatory message to Maria Sharapova.
William Abadie, a writer for Homeland, wrote: “This is certainly heartwarming news. Lily, congrats to both of you on your success.”
Sarah Hyland and Tan France were also among the celebrities who sent their best wishes. While everything was going on, Emily in Paris creator Darren Star stated in May that the second season of the Netflix sensation would begin filming shortly after that.
According to the memo, “I will be brief. First, please accept our congratulations on Emily Cooper’s new work permit, which will begin on May 3, 2021. Her contribution to Savoir is undeniable, and we hope that she continues to have an impact on our clients, who are quite precise about the results they want from their agency, as we have discussed in the past.”
On Netflix, you can watch the first season of Emily in Paris. We are delighted to hear such great news and wish the couple a happy married life.
