Since the news of Lloyd Cadena’s death has been confirmed, his has fans have taken over social media to express their tribute towards him. In a heartbreaking post via Facebook account, it was confirmed on Friday that Lloyd Cadena, the Filipino Youtuber, and comedian has left for his heavenly abode. As of now the cause of death hasn’t been announced.
The star had more than 3.1 million subscribers on his YouTube channel and around 6.5 million Facebook friends as well. He had been very popular amongst today’s generation for his comedy content and pink video background that eventually became his signature background.
The Facebook post announcing his death was made from his own account and more than 1.7 million fans have expressed their love for him on the same post.
Lloyd Cadena and his journey to stardom!
Lloyd Café Cadena had completed majors in financial management from Colegio de San Juan de Letran and was also a radio jockey for 93.9iFM. He started his YouTube journey in 2011 and was one of the pioneers of YouTube vlogging in the Philippines. He rose to fame while creating content about his Travel experience, cooking, unboxing, his adventures, a few challenge videos, and almost everything that his curiosity made him discover in the world.
Cadena even started a boy band named “The Bookmarks” in 2013 along with six authors Marco Pile, Rhadson Mendoza, Angelo Nabor, Mark Ananas, Bryan Olano, and Albert Apolonio. The boy band was reportedly started as he wanted to encourage youth towards reading more.
Hong Kong Youtuber Richard Juan who had once collaborated with Cadena for creative content shared their memories on twitter while expressing grief. He mentioned how Cadena agreed to do a video with him even when Richard Juan was not even 10k followers at that time. Another Filipino comedian Mark Geronimo praised Cadena in a twitter post for how he always used his famous platform to discuss social and political issues and had always been outspoken about his views.
