Based on the 1965 sci-fi series, Lost in The Space is a story of a family of space colonists. The last season of the series was aired on 25th December 2019. Fans are eagerly waiting for updates regarding season 3 of the series. After a long wait, the makers recently announced that we will have the third season of the series but it will also be the final season of the show. Fans, after hearing this, maybe happy for the third season but they may also be sad for the season being last of the series and the adventures of the Robinson family will come to an end.
Release Date for the Third Season of the Series
It is expected to have the third season on-air by mid of 2021. Makers are hoping to resume the production work in September 2020. But the date may be delayed due to the pandemic situation all around the world. If the work starts by September 2021, then it is expected that it will be completed by January 2021.
The Cast for the Season 3
The previous cast members were loved a lot by the fans and viewers. So we can say that all the members of the Robinson family will reprise their roles. We can see Toby Stephen’s as John, Molly Parker as Maureen, Taylor Russell as Judy, Maxwell Jenkins Will, and Mina Sundwall as Penny. We may have some new faces but nothing is declared by the makers.
The Storyline for the Third Season of the Series
We saw that the Robinson family was attacked by robots at the end of the previous season. After the attack Judy Robinson, to save her siblings, captains a spaceship named Jupiter 2 and fly to Alpha Centauri. For the safety of their children, Robinson’s parents continued to fight with the robots. Also, we saw that Dr. Smith was dead in the previous show but his body was never recovered. The two most important questions by the fans are that: – Are the Robinson parents alive? And what is the story of Dr. Smith’s death? Fans are expecting a new twist in the upcoming season. It is also expected that the filming location will be shifted and the show to focus on a new planet.
