Megan Fox has shown the costume she will wear in The Expendables 4. Fox posted the images to her Instagram account, which show her dressed entirely in black, implying that she will be a member of the franchise’s core squad of mercenaries. Fox is dressed in black leather trousers, a tactical belt, what looks to be a vest of some type (perhaps bulletproof), and a cropped heavy jacket on top. She also wore black eyeliner and was accessorized with lace-up platform boots.
Fox joined returning actors Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dolph Lundgren, and Randy Couture, as well as series newbies Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, Tony Jaa, and Andy Garcia, in joining the cast of the fourth film in August.
Fox has already been warmly welcomed into the franchise. Jason Constantine, Lionsgate’s President of Acquisitions and Co-Productions, stated: “Bringing these actors together for a no-holds-barred action film is a lot of fun. The next movie will up the stakes and be the biggest, baddest adventure yet.”
After the release of The Expendables 3, plans for The Expendables 4 were set in action, but the production has been delayed by a series of setbacks, including Stallone’s alleged resignation from the film in 2017 owing to creative disagreements.
Fans need not fear, though, since Stallone will undoubtedly appear in the picture, despite production being delayed many times till this year. “They’ve been pushing it around for a few of years now, but… they’re planning to schedule production for Expendables 4 for this/next autumn,” Couture stated on The Jenna Ben Show in April 2021. Though no release date has been set, Fox’s Instagram post implies that we will see it in late 2022.
