The finals of season 1 Raised by Wolves on HBO Max finished with some turns. Mother and Father not only find some conclusive proofs of other intelligent lives existing on Kepler-22b, but the baby of Mother proved a distant shout of what everyone had predicted. Also, voices reveal mysteries and Marcus / Caleb has lost his mind altogether.
Wolves created a string of mysterious plot twists over the entire season 1. Kepler-22b has been cloaked in secrecy from the very beginning. It began with Mother and Father Androids on the almost desolate earth, who had a quest to raise human children.
The Ark came soon with a huge Mithraic colony, a religious group dedicated to a new society on behalf of their creator, Sol. Mother turned out to be a necromancer, a kind of robot able with her eyes to explode people and a shattering shriek. The ark crashed and the rest of her crew were killed. She took rampage.
How does the Raised by Wolves come to an end?
In the Wolves’ first season finale, there were some big revelations, but still, a lot of questions left the crowd. The Mithraic prophet and who it maybe was one of the big topics of the season. Campion appears at first to be the correct alternative.
However, after he had started hearing voices and taken mastery of Mithraic, it seemed to be Caleb. Then the mother became pregnant, which nobody thought was possible; many thought the prophet was her son. While a prophet was not identified in the finale, it surely was not baby Mother.
It is symbolically fascinating to see the Mother gives birth to a snake-like beast. The serpent is the sacred manipulative emblem of the Garden of Eden.
The dragon is the hydra. Many proofs are now available that the voice of some characters is from the earth, probably de-evolved human beings somewhere, and not from Sol. In other words, the Mithraic’s opinions remain unclear.
Finally, it is worth remembering that, despite being androids, Mother and Father both have proved to be defective and emotional. When she became pregnant, Mother was misled. She was hoping she was to give birth to a new human form but made a beast instead.
The others shook too, including Paul, who learned that Mary was not his mother and thought she was cruel instead. He can sound differently as he knows where the voice comes from. Anyway, the public is enthusiastically expecting Season 2 Raised by Wolves.
