Rick and Morty collaborated with Dungeons and Dragons in 2018 for a comic book series. Fans of both the shows and games were excited to grab their copies of the first issue. Rick and Morty vs. Dungeons and Dragons was created by Zub, Patrick Rothfuss, and Troy Little. The game has been 50 years of role-playing game and it is into its fifth edition. 

How it started and what is going on?

Everything starts when Morty realizes that he can look attractive and be popular among girls at his school if he learns this new fantasy role-playing game. Then he got inside a game store and an employee invited him to play. There he realizes another thing that he needs to learn about all the ins and outs of the world. But he fails to educate himself and then seeks the help of his grandfather Rick, who is a genius scientist, but at the same time, he is mad and alcoholic. 

Rick takes Morty into the real-life Dungeons and Dragons game. This is the point where all the adventures begin. Let’s find out what edition of the game they get into.

The Dungeons and Dragons game was released back in 1974, since then many editions have come. Up to 2014, there have been five major editions of the game. Rick and Morty vs. Dungeons and Dragons played all the editions except the 4th one.

What happened in the game and how it ended?

In the first issue of the comic book series Rick and Morty, starts from the first edition of the game. CBR states that in the 1st edition part of the series Morty is with a group of men in the garage. Later Rick makes a virtual stimulation and they enter into the 2nd edition, and both of them die. In the 3rd edition, Summer and Beth join unexpectedly. In the third issue of the book, there is a bit of reference to the 4th edition of the game.
