Co-showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson have revealed some details about Lucifer’s sixth and final season.
Hints For Lucifer 6 Plotline
The latest season of the comic book drama ended on a cliffhanger of epic proportions, with Tom Ellis’ Lord of Hell transforming into the newest version of God, surrounded by a swarm of worshipping angels.
TVLine spoke with Modrovich and Henderson about season 6, initially promising “a whole new character” that fans have never met. Despite his on-screen death, Kevin Alejandro’s Detective Dan Espinoza will make a special appearance as well.
“We knew they can not do another season without Detective Douche, so we found a storyline for him that we really enjoy, and it’s one of those situations where you paint yourself into a corner and you uncover something that’s so much more fun and gratifying as a consequence,” Modrovich explained.
“We are putting our attempts to find a way out, and make our viewers discover something they would have never done or thought of before.”
When asked if Lucifer’s role as God will be addressed, and if Chloe Decker will still be his consultant, the co-boss added, What happens, for example, if Lucifer obtains what he thought he wanted?
Seasons 4 and 5 of Lucifer are now accessible on Netflix. Seasons one through three are available on Amazon Prime Video.
