Netflix has announced that new episodes of the raunchy drama Sex/Life will be available shortly. Following the success of the first season, the streaming platform announced that the show has been renewed for a second season, with Sarah Shahi, Mike Vogel, Adam Demos, and Margaret Odette reprising their roles as Billie Connelly, her husband Cooper, her former lover Brad Simon, and her best friend Sasha Snow.
Based on BB Easton’s memoir 44 Chapters About 4 Men, the first chapter of Sex/Life focused on Billie’s dissatisfaction with her boring suburban life. In a desperate attempt to recreate her wild past, she begins to write down specific events she had with her passionate ex-boyfriend, which sparks a sequence of more sexual dreams.
Billie appeared to reconcile with Cooper in the previous episode, understanding that the life they’d built together was adequate for her. In the closing moments, she changed her mind and asked Brad if he’d be interested in pursuing a future with her instead – a request he didn’t have to answer before the credits rolled.
“Life/Sex is a dream come true. Creating a program about strong female sexuality that has captivated millions of viewers is not just a lot of fun, but also a lot of work “Stacy Rukeyser, the series’ creator and showrunner, stated
“I am so moved by the women who have written to me from all over the world to say how very personal the play is to them. I’m overjoyed and grateful for the chance to keep telling Billie’s story to the rest of us.”
