Some of your favourite actors appear in Netflix’s latest Christmas rom-com, Love Hard. The film, directed by the same team as Holidate in 2020, is about an online dating storyline gone bad. Natalie (Nina Dobrev) of Los Angeles falls in love on a dating app with an East Coast lad named Tag (Darren Barnet) and travels across the country to meet him, only to learn she’s been messaging Tag’s boyhood friend Josh (Jimmy O. Yang).
As if the plot wasn’t interesting enough, the film also features a mini-reunion between Yang and Harry Shum Jr. from Crazy Rich Asians. “I adore that man,” Shum said of reuniting with Yang for the film. “I was drawn to him even before I met him for the first time. He’s a lovely person who I don’t believe people see enough of on TV. In some ways, it’s as if our roles in this storey have been flipped. I was typically [his character], and he was usually the irritating sibling, so flipping roles was a lot of fun.” The film will be released in November, but you can learn more about it by clicking the link above.
