Even though Stranger Things Season 3 debuted on Netflix a little over two years ago, it often feels like there hasn’t been a new season since the 1980s. Since the conclusion of Stranger Things in July 2019, we’ve been treated to a slew of intriguing hints about the horrors that await our favourite characters in Stranger Things 4.

Netflix announced in February 2020 that Hopper was not only alive, but also imprisoned in a remote Siberian prison camp. Netflix just released an unsettling teaser depicting Eleven’s connection with her “Papa,” the enigmatic (and presumed dead?) Martin Brenner (Matthew Modine).

So, how much longer will we have to wait for Season 4 of Stranger Things? What will the Netflix series’ next season be about? And who’s in the cast of Stranger Things? Here’s everything we know about Season 4 of Stranger Things thus far…

Netflix’s ‘Strangers – Release Date

We have no idea! While fans have been aiming for a 2021 release date for quite some time, it may be difficult to achieve. Stranger Things Season 4 is still in development as of June 15, 2021.

Stranger Things Season 4 might debut in late 2021, but don’t be surprised if The Witcher Season 2 is Netflix’s big splashy end-of-year release and Stranger Things Season 4 gets pushed back to early 2022. To put it another way, you’re going to have to wait a bit longer.

Netflix’s ‘Strangers – Cast Members

Let’s just say the Stranger Things cast for Season 4 is stacked, which includes face like:      David Harbour as Chief Jim Hopper, Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers,  Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven (also known as “El” or Jane Hopper),      Gaten Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson,      Caleb McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair,      Noah Schnapp as Will Byers,      Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield,      Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler,      Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers,  Joe Keery as Stevie Byers are all returning

Stranger Things Season 4 includes a few new cast members, according to Netflix. Jamie Campbell Bower, Robert Englund, Eduardo Franco, Joseph Quinn, Tom Wlaschiha, Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye, and Nikola Djuricko were announced as new cast members in November 2020 by Deadline.

During Geeked Week, Netflix also confirmed that Amybeth McNulty, who played Vickie in Anne with an E, will play Vickie, a “cool, fast-talking band nerd who attracts the eye of one of our heroes.” Hawkins basketball star Patrick will be played by Myles Truitt, popular girl Chrissy will be played by Grace Van Dien, and popular guidance counsellor Ms. Kelly will be played by Regina Ting Chen.

Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the mind behind Netflix’s 2019 romantic comedy, Someone Great, is slated to co-write and direct the streaming giant’s newest offering, which will centre on a group of adolescent females, including Drea, the alpha It-girl, and Eleanor, the shy ‘alt’ girl. Following their unusual relationship, the two band together to take down each other’s bullies, a la Jennifer’s Body.

Netflix’s ‘Strangers – Trailer

Yes! So far, Netflix has published two official teasers (along with a teaser for one of the teasers?).

On February 14, 2020, the first Stranger Things Season 4 trailer was released. The 50-second short, titled “From Russia with love…”, carried us to the wilds of Siberia and revealed that Hopper was still alive. He’s the American detainee we encountered in Russia at the conclusion of Season 3 of Stranger Things.

However, Hopper isn’t the only presumed-dead character set to return in Season 4 of Stranger Things. On May 6, 2021, a teaser trailer was published that transported us back to Hawkins National Laboratory. A lot of youngsters participate in Project MKUltra, which we observe. Brenner makes his way down the corridors towards Eleven’s old room.

It’s worth noticing that the teaser for this 2021 teaser was labelled “001/004”, while the next video was labelled “002/004”. That means two more frightening teasers set at the Hawkins Laboratory may be released before the story-centric promos for Stranger Things Season 4 air.
