If you’re a great fan of the comedy stylings of the legendary Mindy Kaling or merely of age comedies then there’s no doubt in the fact that you certainly need to give Netflix’s Never Have I Ever a watch. The brilliant comedic show has been created by Kaling herself along with Lang Fisher (The Mindy Project, Brooklyn Nine-Nine).
The plot of the show revolves around the life of an Indian American teenager Devi Vishwakumar (played by Maitreyi Ramakrishnan) who goes through the ups and downs of her high school life whilst at the same time, she has been dealing with the death of her father. It’s no doubt one of the best shows on TV of 2020 which is also considered to be a breakthrough series for South Asian representation on Television.
The first season of the show dropped on the streaming giant on the 27th of April, 2020, and continued its legacy for 10 amazing episodes. The season immediately became a hit among the audience such that the streaming giant renewed the show just over a month later for yet another season, according to the reports of Variety.
Netflix shared an enthralling announcement on the 14th of April, 2021, sharing numerous details about the upcoming season including the first-look photos from the set. It has been now confirmed that the second season would be back to roll in July 2021. However, there hasn’t been an exact date to put a finger on. But it won’t be a long wait for the fans, of course, as we’re just three months away from the exciting release.
Season 2 would have dropped by sooner but the delays were caused in the production processes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, thus disrupting further issues.
