Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, a Netflix breakout talent, came in first after the success of her Never Have I Ever films. The actress has suddenly become a star of a significant streaming project titled “The Netherfield Girls,” a name that any Jane Austen enthusiast should know about.

In the vein of Easy A and ten things I Hate about you, this Roma is a contemporary reimagining of pride and prejudice. It could thus turn out to be a kind of Bridget Jones’ Diary, as the legendary Renée Zellweger film similarly relied on pride and prejudice.

Ramakrishnan, who was 19 years old, would portray Lizzie Bennet, the protagonist of the original novel, where she first loathes the man before finding her loving him, as soon as she begins to see who he is.

In this job, Ramakrishnan will be filled with giant slippers as many emblematic performers have played her in the cinema, including Jennifer Ehle in the 1995 BBC miniseries, Keira Knightley in 2005, and Lily James Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. In this part, he will play a huge role.

Ramakrishnan debuted at Never Have I Ever, Mindy Kaling after being chosen by the 15,000 hopefuls who have submitted through an open cast to play the character of feisty high school student Devi Vishwakumar. Her performance won her a nomination for best actress for an Independent Spirit Awards.

Becca Gleason, who also created the original story, is responsible for directing The Niederfield girls. Never have I ever been on Netflix to watch. It certainly will be fun to watch her do a fantastic role in the new movie. She performed brilliantly in her show, and we are sure she will do wonders here as well.
