A new role has been landed to The Crown star Claire Foy in an original production coming from BritBox. The streaming service usually seems to be interested with legacy content but has now began investing in exclusive content including that of four original shows we witnessed being announced last year itself.
In addition to the original shows making a mark, a new eight episode crime thriller has been recently announced that is titled Marlow and led by Foy. The plot of the crime thriller is considered to be centered around two families who live on the Thames Estuary and who have been incessantly feuding with one another for nearly ages, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Foy’s character seems to have been crashing with one of the elderly patriarch of the other family and is certain to seek answers and revenge throughout the eight episodes. Foy earlier quoted that, “I’m delighted to be a part of this compelling thriller. Tony and Simon’s scripts are so evocative of place and redolent with atmosphere – and the twists, turns and mysteries at the heart of this drama are utterly gripping”.
In addition to Foy, executive producers Maxwell and Grisoni also had something to add up, who said that, “The Thames Estuary’s Edgelands offer a unique and extraordinary world of mud, sea and infinite sky; of broken politics and dreams – the Thames mouth is at once a gateway to the world and the last wild frontier of our island existence”.
You can watch the 4 seasons of Marlow on Netflix.
