One Thing Supernatural Had To Cut From Its Series Finale Due To COVID-19

Supernatural is a paranormal romance TV series that first aired on 13 September 2005. The series has been a huge hit with a growing fanbase. Though the show aired for almost one and a half decades, it never lost its spark.

The storyline of the show follows the story of two brothers Sam and Dean Winchesters who go monster hunting and deal with paranormal people. It also has a metaphorical undertone to it and shows us a personified character of Darkness, Chaos, et cetera.

The show has a score of 8.4/10 on IMDb and a 93% average audience score on Tomatometer.

Sadly, it has been announced that the show is coming to an end this year. On November 19, 2020, the last episode (327th) will be aired. Though this was supposed to happen way sooner, it was postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The insane amount of rules the crew has to abide by has certainly hindered the production of the show. With the mandatory social distancing, self-quarantine, and regular COVID 19 testing, some changes had to be made to the script of the show as well.

In an interview with Glamour, Jensen Ackles, the actor who plays Dean Winchester, said “We had to drop some ideas we had for the final episode, but it didn’t change the story. We were supposed to have a lot of familiar faces come back, and we were going to try to filter them into a montage.

It was going to be almost a break from the story and a look at how far we’ve come—a little tip of the hat to the fans—and we would all be able to celebrate together. Obviously, we couldn’t do that. So that part of the finale episode got nixed. But the story and how it ends up, that stayed the same.”

The fans would certainly have loved a rewind through all these years but we can’t have a cake and eat it too.

We hope this update made your day!

Even as a little girl, I was fascinated by words. The idea of stringing words together to form meaningful sentences which could alter the emotions of other human beings excited me. At first I wrote fiction. It gave me a chance to live the different lives I’ve always wanted to. The way my friends reacted when they read my story gave me the greatest of joys. As I grew older, I realised that there are thousands of stories of people around me that deserved to be told. Then I started incorporating their stories to my fictional stories. Over the time, I leaned more towards article writing. I have always felt that writing is my super power. A power I could wield to bring joy and comfort to me and the people I care about.
