The project will be named Time Cut, according to The Hollywood Reporter, and if the name alone doesn’t conjure up images of science-fiction horror, it’s worth noting that it’s being portrayed as a cross between Back to the Future and Scream.

Madison Bailey of the Outer Banks and Antonia Gentry of Ginny & Georgia will star in the film, which is set to begin filming in Canada in June.

Time Cut is directed by the same person who directed Into the Dark and Trinkets, and the script was written by Sono Patel of The Marvelous Mrs Maisel and Michael Kennedy of Freaky.

Meanwhile, both of the actresses’ own Netflix series are expected to return for second seasons, with the actresses set to reprise their roles.

Madison Bailey spoke about her borderline personality disorder diagnosis as well as her pansexuality last year.

“I don’t think there are any disadvantages to coming out,” she said, “and I have very welcoming friends, a very accepting family, and a very accommodating and accepting industry.” Being open and straightforward feels amazing in terms of benefits!

“It’s good to be able to say, ‘Here’s my personal life,’ particularly in an industry where so many people want to know about my personal life.” You’re welcome to it. ‘It’s fine.’ I have no regrets.”
