Hongseok, a Pentagon member with a good solo acting career, looks to be succeeding in his acting career. Hongseok began to make a reputation for himself in the business after making his acting debut in the 2017 film ‘The Love That’s Left,’ displaying his acting skills to fans.
Following the release of the new film, he was cast in a number of roles, including Bae Ki-bum in the 2019 MBN drama ‘Best Chicken,’ and two more K-dramas in 2021.
Hongseok has a new K-drama on the way
Hongseok has been in a variety of internet programs during the last three years. Pentagon’s Hongseok is being evaluated in his sixth web drama, ‘Aquaman,’ which is based on a webtoon, it was announced on December 10th.
The drama’s premiere date has been set for 2022, and Hongseok has been cast as Ji Seong-Joon.
Hongseok, a Pentagon member, will portray Ji Seong-Joon, while actor Jung Woo-jin will play Shin Naru. Choi So-ra and Shin So-mi are played by So-hee Lee and So-Hyun Shin, respectively. Fans are looking forward to Hongseok’s transformation into Seong-Joon for the forthcoming season.
Appearances in web dramas by Hongseok
Over the previous few years, Hongseok has appeared in a variety of internet programs. This year, he has only appeared in two web dramas, both from Naver.
His first web drama, ‘On The Campus,’ featured him as Hee-yeol, while his second, ‘Anniversary Anyway,’ had him as Hong Woo-Jae. He appeared as a cameo in the 2020 Naver web series ‘Twenty-Twenty.’
In 2021, Hongseok made his Naver TV web series debut in ‘Blue Birthday,’ playing Ji Seo-jun, Oh Ha-boyfriend, rin’s alongside Red Velvet’s Yeri.
Hongseok is presently appearing in ‘Shadow Beauty,’ a Kakao TV web series that is clearly showing on Kakao TV in South Korea with a simultaneous foreign broadcast on Viki.
Similarly, the next web show starring Pentagon’s Hongseok, named ‘Aquaman,’ is presently in development and is expected to launch in the first half of next year, though no specific release date has been determined.
