On Tuesday, October 13, Netflix dropped a new trailer for The Crown season 4. The clip shows the bittersweet courtship of Prince Charles and Diana Spencer’s relationship.
The new full-length trailer also reveals one of the famous moments in British royal family history. Fans were dying to see Charles and Diana’s 1981 royal wedding, and now their dream is turning into reality.
The wedding ceremony converses about a happily ever after for the couple. But we know that Princess Diana will never get her fairy tale ending, at least not in the upcoming season. The trailer teased with a new season of dread and doom ahead.
A man in sharp British tongue narrated the full trailer and said that this what fairytales are made of. He goes on to talk about the prince and princess’s wedding, but his narration does not end by saying ‘they lived happily ever after’.
The story continues after the duo says their vows, and the narrator says ‘they will be transformed in the process’. A small scene is shown about their romance life, but later on, woes get scattered throughout the trailer. Fans also get an opportunity to see the first look of Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. She is another iconic addition to the big list of the newcomers cast.
The cast of includes season 4 includes Emma Corrin as Diana Spencer, Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher. The two new characters will join Queen Elizabeth II played by Olivia Colman, Princess Margaret played by Helena Bonham Carter, Prince Charles played by Josh O’Connor, as well as Prince Philip played by Jonathan Pryce. The Crown season 4 Plot
The story of the fourth season is speculated to begin at the end of the 1970s. It will also feature Thatcher, who became the first prime minister of Britain. She rose to power in 1979. In the new season, Thatcher’s divisive policies will create problems between her and Queen Elizabeth. The Queen will be trying to safeguard her throne by finding a bride for Prince Charles.
Diana and Prince Charles’ fairytale romance charms the public, but behind the closed curtains, reveals the political turmoil and other problems. The season will also show Charles’ relationship with Camilla Parker-Bowles. She will bring trouble to Charles and Diana’s relationship, and the Prince leaves her in the late 1970s.
