Prince Harry also has his say in the new Netflix documentary “Rising Phoenix” about the Paralympics. A real affair of the heart for the Royal.
The recently released documentary “Rising Phoenix”, with which Prince Harry (35) makes his Netflix debut, is all about the history of the Paralympic Games and individual showcase athletes. In an interview with the US magazine “People”, the Royal explains why the project is so important to him.
The world needs this story.
Prince Harry has labeled the story of “Rising Pheonix” something that the world needs at this point in time. He claimed that in the documentary, the audience is indulged with the true and real power that the human soul has and the strength of a human’s spirit. This is necessary if someone wants to achieve something that seems impossible, said Harry.
The documentary proves that sport is much more than just a physical challenge. The contest is all about providing momentum, dynamics, community, camaraderie, ambition, and self-worth. Harry describes the athletes as “true proof of human effort and the epitome of resilience”.
Harry has campaigned for disabled soldiers himself for several years.
Apart from these, Prince Harry was the one who stood up to co-initiated Invictus Games of 2014.
The Paralympic sports competition was supposed to take place for the fifth time in May 2020, but the event had to be canceled due to the Corona crisis. Instead, Invictus Games will take place from 29 May to 5 June 2021 in The Hague, Netherlands. In 2023, the Games will arrive in Germany for the first time and take place in Dusseldorf.
