This Animated Sci-Fi sitcom is one of the most popular animated shows around the world. The show unlike other animated series is mainly for adults and isn’t safe for the kids because of copious violence, alcohol consumption, and sexual content. The show follows a Mad yet Genius Scientist Rick Sanchez and his grandson Morty Smith. We follow along with Rick and Morty as they go their crazy Intergalactic, inter-dimensional and strange adventures. The 1st episode of the show aired on December 2, 2013, and since then the show has released 4 Seasons. The finale for Season 4 was aired on 31 May 2020. The series has already been renewed for 70 more episodes even before Season 4 aired so we will see a Season 5 in the future. So when can we watch the 5th Season? Let’s find out!
When Can We Expect Season 5?
Old fans remember that they had to wait more than two years for the 4th season so will we have wait that long again? Thankfully we won’t have to wait that long as creator Dan Harmon said “I think it’s safe to say without fear of being wrong that the gap between seasons three and four will be the longest and last time that it’s ever so long that it’s ridiculous.” So it looks like we won’t have to wait 2 years for the next season. According to the latest news, it seems that writing for the next season is almost finished and it will start production soon even after the delays because of COVID-19. So we can hope that Season 5 will be aired sometime in 2021.
Characters and Cast
Although the show has a variety of characters and even has seen many stars doing a cameo. The main characters haven’t changed throughout the years. So we will see Justin Roiland back again voicing both Rick and Morty, Chris Parnell voicing Jerry, Sarah Chalke voicing Beth and Spencer Grammer voicing Summer. We will see some new characters as well but we will have to wait for the show to find out.
Possible Plot And The Last Season’s Finale Explained
In the season 4 finale, we saw Rick giving Beth a choice to replace herself with a robot at home and go become a space traveler back in an old episode and it was then revealed that current Beth is a clone of the original one. We will be seeing more adventures in the next season as we have in every season until now there have been some ideas about the episodes floating around but nothing is confirmed as of yet.
