Star Billy Crudup’s replacement has finally been found in the upcoming Flash movie. The actor was known to reprise his role as the incarcerated father of Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) from Joss Whedon’s version of Justice League. However, the actor was made to drop out as a result of scheduling conflicts with The Morning Show earlier this month.
According to the Variety reports, this role will now be taken over by Office Space star and Sex and the City star Ron Livingston. In addition to Ron Livingston’s casting, the DC movie has also made a move to incorporate Ian Loh as young Barry who is expected to do perfect justice to the role alongside Derry Girls star Saoirse-Monica Jackson and the most popular internet personality Rudy Mancuso.
Moreover, there are further reports regarding Justice League wherein Kiersey Clemons has been confirmed to return to the show as Iris West and Maribel Verdu (Y Tu Mama Tambien) will also be joining the cast as Nora Allen. Additionally, the fold of Supergirl will be joined by The Young and The Restless’s Sasha Calle.
The Flash has been scheduled to release on the 3rd of June, 2022. However, there seems to be some self-doubt or let’s call it ‘cast doubt’ over the appearance in The Flash. Michael Keaton has been suggesting to the public that he may have other plans and may not make up to reprise his role in The Flash as Batman. There hasn’t been any significant outrage over this development but him not making it on the screen is and definitely can be a huge no-no for the Justice League fans.
It all depends on the final list of cast members which is believed to be out soon. Let’s just hope that we don’t get to see any further replacements in the cast as the feeling’s surreal to watch them ride a journey to its rightful end. Isn’t it?
